  (2 PC) FRANCISCO REBAJES COPPER BELT & PINDESCRIPTION: (2 Pc) A Francisco Rebajes Copper Belt & Pin Set from The Comedy & Tragedy collection. This rare vintage set includes one (1) copper brooch and one (1) copper belt with a Comedy and Tragedy motif buckle. Francisco “Frank” Rebajes (1907-1990) was a self-taught designer and metalsmith. Born in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic he arrived in New York City in 1923, and by the early 1930s, he was using plumbers tools to transform cans and scrap metal into animal shaped sculptures and to design his own jewelry. The belt is signed "Rebajes". CIRCA: 20th Century. ORIGIN: USA. DIMENSIONS: Pin is H: 1 1/8" W: 1". Belt is W: 3/4" L: 20 3/4". CONDITION: Good vintage condition.
